Episode 86: Deanna Belleny Diversify Dietetics

Registered Dietitian Deanna Belleny completed her Bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition and Foods at the University of Houston and went on to complete a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Texas School of Public Health.
Deanna is the Program Manager for Systems Transformation at Harvard Medical School Center for Primary Care. She is passionate about system-level changes that positively impact the health of minority and underserved communities.
Her other passion is the non-profit Diversify Dietetics, which she co-founded in the spring of 2018. The mission of Diversify Dietetics is to increase the racial and ethnic diversity in the field of nutrition by empowering nutrition leaders of color. Through mentoring, education, and building community the organization is working to attract, encourage, and empower students and young professionals of color who are seeking careers in the field of nutrition and dietetics.
